Salmon Poke Bowl

A serving of finished salmon poke bowl in a white bowl

Description

Salmon Poke Bowl is a vibrant and healthy Hawaiian-inspired dish. It is an excellent choice for a light yet filling meal that requires no cooking beyond the rice.

Ingredients

Steps

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Boil the rice in 400 milliliters of water. Once cooked, let it cool to room temperature.
  2. Cut salmon into small cubes and chop green onions.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the soy sauce, the salmon cubes and green onions. Toss gently and let it sit in the refrigerator for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. While the salmon marinates, slice the cucumber, and peel the avocado.
  5. Divide the cooled rice into four deep bowls.
  6. Arrange the marinated salmon, cucumber, edamame, and avocado in neat sections on top of the rice.
  7. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top. You can also add extra soy sauce, if you like. Serve immediately.
